We are looking for a Fire Safety Engineer who will play a central role in development and support projects, focusing on delivering safe systems and vehicles for end-users. You will work with a holistic perspective on fire protection, from the early concept phase to requirements specification, review, and documentation, in close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and external parties.

The role involves working with both passive and active fire protection measures, designing fire prevention solutions, and selecting materials, with the goal of identifying, analyzing, and minimizing fire risks to prevent accidents and damage to people and property.

• Plan and lead fire protection technical design and fire safety work in development projects
• Interpret and apply relevant regulatory requirements
• Formulate and allocate fire safety requirements on technical systems to reduce or eliminate risk
• Conduct reviews and risk analyses of design solutions in complex systems during early development stages
• Identify fire safety risks related to systems, construction, and integration
• Present analyses, risks, and results to national and international stakeholders
• Represent the fire safety area in projects and act as an advisor in fire safety matters
• Prepare fire protection technical documentation

• Civil or university engineer with a focus on fire or risk
• Experience in risk management and risk assessment
• Strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to undergo and be approved in a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted)

• Experience with fire safety solutions in areas such as shipbuilding, automotive industry, aviation, nuclear power, or oil and gas industry
